In the city of San Salvador, Republic of El Salvador, INTECKNO carried out pre-feasibility studies for the electromechanical component of an aerial cable car system between San Salvador and Cerro San Jacinto, which will be used for tourism development by transporting passengers to the mountain top. This cable car will begin in the urban area of ​​San Salvador and end at the top of Cerro San Jacinto, allowing tourists to appreciate the great views and biodiversity of the area.

To carry out these studies, our company developed the following activities:

• Selection matrices for choosing the most appropriate cable transport system technology for the project.
• Design of the route of the new line.
• Preliminary geotechnical and topographyc studies.
• Basic architecture of the project.
• Preparation of the technical specifications of the electromechanical system for the contracting of its construction.
• Estimates of the budgets for implementation (CAPEX) and operation and maintenance (OPEX) of the electromechanical component of the new cable transport system.
